By Air: San Francisco is served by two major equally convenient airports:  San Francisco International Airport ( SFO ) (http://www.flysfo.com/ ) and Oakland International Airport ( OAK ) (http://www.flyoakland.com).

SFO to San Francisco:

• Taxis:  Metered taxis are available at all arrival areas.  Approximate cost is $37-40 for most downtown locations.
• BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Public Transportation (www.bart.gov):  The SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (Boarding Area G side). BART is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop. Cost is approximately $5 and is very convenient if you are staying at the St Regis or a nearby hotel.  Take BART to the Montgomery Street Station, which is about 3 blocks from the St. Regis.

OAK to San Francisco:

• Taxis:  Metered taxis are available at all arrival areas.  Approximate cost is $50 for most downtown locations (depending on traffic).
• BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Public Transportation (www.bart.gov):  BART is slightly less convenient from OAK as you will need to take the AirBART shuttle bus to the BART Oakland Airport station.  AirBART runs approximately every 10 minutes. BART cost is approximately $7.  Take BART to the Montgomery Street Station, which is about 3 blocks from the St. Regis.
